Q1. ずっと仕事を続けるにあたり、幼少（あるいは若いころ）影響を受けた人を一人か二人挙げてください。
Who motivated you to pursue your long-term career?
Answer 看護師として働いていた、母の影響があると思います。「女性は家事・育児に専念すべし」という考え方がまだ根強く残る中、母はいつも「女性が働けることは嬉しいし、幸せだと思う」と常に言っていました。そんな母を誇りに思います。そして、働く女性の一人として、今そんな母の言葉を痛感しています。
My mother, who used to work as a nurse in Japan, gave me a huge positive influence about working women. Back in the day, women were expected to stay home to take care of household and children, but she always said that she was grateful that she could work. I can’t agree more!
Q2. アメリカに来たきっかけを教えて下さい。
What made you decide to come to the United States?
Answer 英語を学びたい、そのためには留学が一番手っ取り早いだろうと思い、MBA取得に向けてUniversity of Louisiana at Monroeへ留学したためです。
“How can I learn English in the quickest & the most effective way? Let’s study in the US!” With this decision, I decided to study abroad and completed my MBA at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
Q3. 今後DJCWをどのように発展させていきたいですか？
How would you like to develop DJCW?
Answer アメリカで働く日本人女性の一人として、同じ悩みや思いを抱えている人達のネットワークを広げ、サポートができればと思います。COVID-19によるオンラインシステムを逆手に取り、ダラスのみならず他の州、ひいては海外で働く日本人女性まで繋がれれば！？
と企んで（笑）おります。
As a Japanese woman working in Dallas, it is my wish to meet with other Japanese to network, connect, and inspire. This COVID-19 gave us many great opportunities to get to know people via virtual online system. I hope we can expand our network not only within Dallas but also with other cities, other states, and even other countries!
Q4. これから社会に出てキャリアウーマンを目指している女子学生に対して一言。
What is your advise for female students who are willing to pursue as career women?
Answer 自分の人生が5年後・10年後にどうなるかなんて、全くわかりません。なので、恐れずに、ワクワクすることにどんどんチャレンジしていって欲しいなと思います。失敗しても、やり直せば大丈夫！いつも笑顔で、自分らしく働く一人の女性として頑張っていきましょう。
Who know what is going to happen 5 or 10 years later – so don’t you worry, just relax and enjoy what excites you the most. Failure is the mother of success! Always smile, be yourself, and enjoy your life as a proud working woman.
