WOMAN EXPO 2022 Winter

Participated in WOMAN EXPO 2022 Winter!

WOMAN EXPO

I participated in WOMAN EXPO 2022 Winter sponsored by Nikkei BP when I went back to Japan for the Thanksgiving vacation (on November 26th, at Tokyo Midtown Hall).

The expo started in 2014 as a part of "Nikkei Womanomix Project" with the slogan "We will obtain beauty, careers, and happiness. For all working women to shine in their own ways." It was an in person event with seminars focusing on "work", "learn" and "health & beauty" as themes as well as exhibits of corporations displaying their products.

There were different seminars including the one with Ms. Haruna Kondo (a famous comedian from "Harisenbon"). We were required to pre-register to the seminars although walk-in was available depending on availabilities. I participated in the seminar, "Women's entrepreneurship, Keys to success ~Women entrepreneurs will open the future". They invited two panelists, Ms. Akemi Tsunakawa, Founder & CEO of Be-spoke that provides AI chatbot services and Ms. Tomoko Yokozuka, Director of Consumer and Business Marketing at Dell. They talked about keys to success and support systems for women's entrepreneurship that will enrich women's lives and will lead to a better society.

Japan ranked 116th out of 146 countries at Gender Gap Index for 2022. However, I observed many energetic Japanese working women at the Expo and felt more encouraged.
